Lauren Jane Salt is a multidisciplinary artist based in Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia, working primarily in ceramics, organic materials. Her practice delves into themes of cultural myth, identity, and transformation, often using nature-based elements and ceramics to convey narratives of growth and personal history.
Salt co-founded VOLIM with Tia Tokić, a collaborative label that merged art and design through clay, textiles, and florals. Her work has been widely exhibited in Perth, with notable shows at Goolugatup Heathcote and as part of the 2024 Indian Ocean Craft Triennial. In addition to her studio practice, Salt teaches ceramic sculpture and hand-building, sharing her nature-inspired approach and hands-on techniques with students.
